Vicki Shearer

Married to Hospital Quality Review

Vicki is a Trusted Advisor to hundreds of families. She uses her previous experience as a nurse to take care of her clients through the emotional ups and downs during the sale or purchase of their homes. She uses her natural attributes of being highly ethical and a team player to facilitate an environment where everyone on both sides of the transaction work together toward a successful closing. She is a skilled listener and a skilled negotiator. She enjoys working with everyone on the spectrum from first time homebuyers to luxury homebuyers/owners. Her clients have come from all kinds of careers and professions, from all over the country and globe. She focuses on residential real estate across the Valley, but predominately in Phoenix, Scottsdale and the closer suburbs.

Vicki grew up in the Chicago suburb of Palos Park, IL. She has been married to her husband Chris for 43 years (since 1980) having met at Northwestern University Medical School where Chris was a medical student and Vicki was a nursing student at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. While Chris pursued medical school (in Chicago), residency (in Denver), Public Health Service Obligation working on an Indian Reservation (Ruidoso/Mescalero NM) and his first job (in Denver), Vicki worked as an RN in Labor & Delivery, newborn nursery and outpatient OB. Vicki & Chris moved with their 3 children Kip, Peter and Kati to Phoenix in 1993, following Chris’ career path and having fallen in love with Phoenix from many vacations during their 9 years in Denver! They settled in the north Phoenix area near Moon Valley.

For almost 10 years in Denver then Phoenix, Vicki was a stay-home mom. She spent most of her spare time volunteering at her children’s schools and the churches they attended, as well as with crisis pregnancy centers. She also was a USA Swimming official for her children’s competitive swim meets and ultimately for AZ high school swimming. In 1998 they consulted with a Realtor about selling their home. When the Realtor saw the log book Vicki had kept of the previous 5- year history of the home sales in her community, she suggested that Vicki should get her real estate license! The following week Vicki entered Arizona School of Real Estate and Business!

Vicki started her real estate career as a licensed agent in January 1999, and got her broker’s license in 2004. After only 9 months in the business, Vicki learned about and joined one-on-one coaching with the best real estate coaching company in the country, Buffini and Co. From her 23 years of being coached by this company, she has built a successful business that is 95% by referral, based on relationships and not about transaction counts! Vicki cares for her clients as if they are family. In fact, many of them are family and friends of her past clients, as well as family and friends of her family and friends! She is the preferred real estate expert for many generations within the same family! Vicki has a great network of the best real estate agents across the country to refer with when clients are moving in or out of Arizona.

Vicki’s biggest passion is her family which includes her 3 grown children and their spouses, and her 8 grandchildren – ages 1 year old to 13 years old (as of 2023)! So balancing work/life is important to her! She is a faithful member of Scottsdale Bible Church, and she helped with the 2012 launch of SBC’s Cactus Campus near her home. Vicki is a lover of ShihTsu’s and, having lost her last ShihTsu in 2022 at almost 18 years old, she now has a new Shih Tsu puppy named Minni who was born January 2023. Vicki loves her walks, having started a habit of walking at least 5 miles daily since March 2020 along with several HIIT classes per week at her neighborhood gym!

Vicki is encouraged when she impacts people’s lives for the better. She is encouraged when she is collaborating with her fellow real estate colleagues. She would love to be your Trusted Advisor and Facilitator through your next real estate experience!
